Ricardo worked really hard to settle in New Zealand since he arrived 20 years ago in Christchurch. Ricardo and his wife, Maria Elena, overcame multiple obstacles but they are now deeply established in Aotearoa and are proud to call it home. A career in early childhood education allowed Ricardo to look after his two boys while also working in that field and obtaining a Diploma of Early Childhood Education. A keen footballer, he’s taken up coaching roles at both Christchurch United FC and Christ’s College. Ricardo and Maria Elena also head the Uruguayan consulate in New Zealand, an honorary position they have held for the past fifteen years. From humble beginnings in a Hornby bungalow, Ricardo and his wife have built a healthy rental portfolio over the past twenty years. He’s a man who believes in and practises property investment.
