Unbelievable as it is we are in Melbourne’s 4th lock down. We have been here before and we do know what to do however it doesn’t make it any easier.
Many owners look to undergo maintenance on their homes during times like this so if you need any maintenance works done to your own homes and are unsure who to reach out to please feel free to contact us.
Our teams are working from home however are still conducting appointments that don’t require us to have any contact. Given we are now in a two-week lockdown, next week we will be doing live Facebook walkthroughs of vacant properties. This will be streamed on our social media pages. We also have virtual tours on our vacant properties and are encouraging prospective tenants to apply pending a physical inspection.
This is proving to be a popular way to engage with prospective tenants to reduce the amount of time properties are left vacant on the market.
Harcourts Move won the State Excellence Award a few weeks ago, as you can see from the picture the team are very proud to have won this. The excellence award is based on the team achieving the best result in the state across key KPI’s such as arrears, lease renewals, rent reviews, inspections and maintenance. I am sure you will join me in congratulating them on this award. (Anna is missing from this picture as she had another event on that night)
In this month’s market update with Tim Lawless from CoreLogic, we discuss the impact the lockdown will have on the Melbourne Market as well as a snap shot of the rest of Australia.
As I write, we are unsure how long this lockdown will last in Melbourne. We hope to be back to some level of the “new normal” soon, and if there are any major updates we will update you.
