He is raised and educated on the Hibiscus Coast attending local schools during this time. Calvin then ventured overseas to Europe to play professional rugby for 10 years. On his return to New Zealand he went into teaching, for most of that time he was a year level Dean. Calvin is married with 3 children and lives locally on the Hibiscus Coast. His family and himself are heavily involved and support numerous local sporting and community groups.
