About Doug

Growing up on a farm in the beautiful northwest region of the South Island, Doug found a passion for sales early and spent ten years in sales and management in the dairy industry before joining his wife in real estate. Making Christchurch their home, Doug’s own real estate career began in the Harcourts Fendalton office in 1993 and he quickly found his feet. By 1995 he was ranked number one in his office and number 18 throughout all of Harcourts New Zealand, the following year clocking in at number 10 nationally.

After achieving outstanding results for his clients, year after year, in 2005 Doug became a partner with Harcourts Gold Group in their Strowan office.

Many successful years later having excelled in both sales and management positions, Doug now holds the position of Liaison Manager for the Harcourts Gold Franchise Group where he enjoys the joint role of sales and mentoring and guiding a dedicated team of high performing sales consultants.

Clients and colleagues alike rely on Doug to provide exceptional, knowledgeable service after almost three decades of experience.

You can be confident in Doug’s extensive knowledge and diligence in the real estate field and in his natural ability to diffuse his clients’ stresses and provide reassuring guidance in what can sometimes be the overwhelming process of buying and selling property.

On the home front, Doug is married to Debbie, herself a high performing agent working out of the Harcourts Gold Papanui office. They have two adult children who are both located in Christchurch.

Each year, over Christmas and New Year you will find Doug and his family holidaying back in Golden Bay where they enjoy boating, fishing, day hikes and reconnecting with extended family.
