Multi award-winning rural and lifestyle specialist Karl Todd is currently the longest serving salesperson on the Harcourts Papakura team. Joining in 2003, Karl was raised in South Auckland and operates his real estate business in territory that’s enormously familiar to him. Selling property through the highs and lows, amassing over $175 million in sales to date, Karl has seen this booming region flourish and expand its boundaries. A passionate local who walks the talk, Karl has lived with his family on his 10-acre block in the Drury Hills for almost 20 years.
Karl is very still well-known in rugby circles and pursued this as a highly successful career after leaving as head boy of Manurewa High School where he was also in the 1st XV and represented NZ Rugby at various age grades including captaining u21 NZ Colts. During his mid 20’s Karl was contracted to play professional rugby in Japan for 6 years where he also represented his adopted country. Returning in 2003 with a young family, Karl bought the Drury Hills property with an agent from Harcourts Papakura and was convinced to join them as a salesperson. Both were moves he’s never regretted.
Karl brings a diverse mix of strategic attributes to real estate – both rural and residential. Always mindful to treat people with respect, Karl reads people and situations well, communicating clearly with clients at every step of the process. Connected to his local community, Karl also taps into his significant database of buyers to ensure a campaign gets the maximum marketing exposure and desired outcome. His methodical yet calm unruffled demeanor helps to put all parties at their ease in the sometimes emotionally fraught negotiations of a property sale – particularly with multifaceted rural sales.
Living on a lifestyle block means there’s always something to do outside of real estate but Karl values time spent with his wife and teenage kids and loves going for a spin in his classic car.
