Russell Lange joined Harcourts Grenadier Real Estate following 30 years in the automotive industry in Christchurch. The last 20 years as Dealer Principal/ CEO of two of the city’s highest profile franchised dealerships – 17 years Team Hutchinson Ford and 3 years Christchurch BMW and MINI.
Following the sale of Christchurch BMW in early 2009 and a period of early retirement , boredom and missing the buzz of a business environment motivated Russell to take on some part –time work in the real estate industry . Quickly that developed into a full time brand new career culminating in 25 successful sales worth $13 million and listings in excess of $15 million in his first 2 years.
Property’s sold range from $225,000 to $2,800,000 including sections, apartments, rural land, lifestyle blocks, family homes and investment properties.
Running a successful franchised vehicle business requires skills in business, administration, marketing and sales and negotiation as well as an understanding of customer needs. Traits that Russell has transferred effectively to his real estate business.
