Alison Haigh has been part of the Harcourts family since 2014 and in her role as Operations and Finance Manager she oversees every aspect of financial and accounting functions for all four of New Age Realty’s branch offices.
As a long-time local who was born and raised in Pakuranga Alison has spent much of her life here and understands what makes the area tick. Her initial career as a nurse was overtaken by work in the accountancy field almost by accident when she moved to Queensland. She moved back to South Auckland from across the ditch for family reasons and over the years has carried out a series of accounting jobs for firms large and small in both Auckland and Christchurch. Alison has a vast wealth of finance, trust account and payroll experience and has a pivotal role in the Harcourts management team as well as retaining some private bookkeeping clients of her own.
Her position requires a lot of patience and resilience to juggle the demands of a busy operation. She deals with a diversity of people from the homeowners and their buyers to the agents themselves. The staff look to her for a cool head and a problem-solving attitude to payroll demands and know she has a finger on the pulse for meticulous trust accounting procedures. Alison is practical, tech savvy, reliable and intuitive. She keeps the accounting wheels turning and the company highly value her loyalty and efficiency.
Spare time is spent in the garden on her rural property where she has a vast menagerie of animals. She has kept horses in the past, but these days leaves the equestrian pursuits to her two adult daughters.
